The Perrin pulley is engineered to reduce rotating mass, increasing horsepower and torque. Made from 6061 T6 Aluminum, the Perrin pulley is more than 4 lbs. lighter than the stock crank pulley. The Perrin pulley does not use underdrive. The pulley is just a redesigned lighter version of the stock pulley. Under drive systems are prone to charging and drivability problems, the Perrin pulley will have no effect on your cars charging system. The stock crank pulley weighs 5.7 lbs. and the Perrin Crank pulley weighs only 1.2 lbs this weight reduction effectively equals removing 100 lbs. of your vehicles weight. The Perrin system will not wear out the bearings or oil pump. A gain of around 10+hp can be expected from this crank Pulley. Also fits late model inline-4 Legacy, Forester, and Baja Turbo.
